We have over 100,000 eyes on the Studio now.
Last week, the Studio hit one hundred thousand followers on TikTok.
To say that this was and still is a whirlwind would be a modest understatement. I’m still blown away that over one hundred thousand folks enjoy what I do and what the Studio is about.
I remember reluctantly starting this account back in like April or May of 2021. Honestly, the only reason I made an account for my Studio was because my good friend and colleague, Maurice Goodwin of Goodwin Voice, prompted me to. He thought that my content would be successful on the platform - though I really didn’t believe it for myself because I jumped on the bandwagon so late, and honestly, there were several other “voice teachers” dominating the space.
But I decided to start an account while kicking and screaming. Shortly after, I started consistently posting videos and such, and just eight months later, the Studio garnered 100,00 followers.
That’s fast - at least to me it is.
For those who own a business and put content out there for marketing and such know how hard it can be to do this and grow in this way. Content creation is work. It’s almost like always being “on call” to create content that’s trending or that people are requesting because you know that it’ll potentially widen your reach. Some days, I’ll lay in my bed late at night making and editing videos and other content while everyone else is sleep. Or I’ll spend countless hours in my Studio or at a Starbucks trying to keep up with all that is demanded of me as a teacher and, dare I say, a content creator.
But I tell you what - I used to be “surprised" when stuff like this happened, but I’ve been trying to learn to be expectant of it through my faith in God and belief in myself. I believed God for it, I put the work behind my faith, and now I can see the fruits of my labor. I have to remember who and Who’s I am.
