At this Studio, our mission is to encourage boldness, creativity, and awareness of the voice.

Boldness

Everyone’s voice is a gift. We want you to be bold and proud of that gift.

Creativity

Why not have fun with your voice? Explore the ins and outs of it to create and enhance your artistry.

Awareness

We want to ensure that you know what you want to do, and how to do it. Being aware of your technique is a huge part of how you can make smart vocal decisions.

We’re not here to make you into something you’re not and we’re not here to tell you that what you’re doing or desiring to do isn’t valid. As long as what you’re doing is healthy and efficient, the possibilities are virtually endless.

This very mission has helped enable us to serve and equip singers and occupational voice users from around the world, and we would love to help you.

Hey y’all — what’s goin on? I’m Jaron.

I’m the Founder + Director of this ‘blessed by the Best’ Studio, the Jaron M. LeGrair Studio.

In 2013, I started this studio under the notion that you can “be vocally you.”

Growing up, I had a unique voice — My speaking and singing voice just sat very high pitch-wise. Although my voice was and is special, many people didn’t understand it and as a result, I was made fun of and mocked throughout my life. Fortunately, I had a community of singers and mentors (along with my family and friends) who knew how special it was and I was never made to feel bad about how I sounded when I sang and spoke. Because of this support, I continued to sing and ended up being a very active performer and artist in my community and beyond throughout my childhood.

Once I began my undergraduate studies, I was faced with more adversity when some more professionals in the field of voice told me that what I loved to sing (and what actually helped me earn a scholarship to said institution) would now hurt my voice if I continued singing in these various genres…

…thankfully, I did not listen.

But instead, I pivoted, found vocal instruction elsewhere and continued to become a well-rounded and diverse artist.

It was those interactions that influenced my decision to become a teacher of voice so that I could help dismantle these notions that one way of using your voice is “better or healthier” than “another.”

I designed what was then called “The Bass Voice Studio” (named in memory of my material grandmother, Flossye J. Bass, who was a wonderful soprano herself) from an assignment given to me during my graduate studies, and I began to refine and carryout the vision by officially founding this very Studio in 2013.

Since the Studio’s inception, it has gone through a name change, many ups and downs, hundreds of clients, and exponential growth and this growth has resulted in me taking on new roles as I and the Studio evolves. Nowadays, I carry out this mission of vocal betterment and inclusion as an entrepreneur, professor, celebrity coach, producer, researcher, scholar, clinician, director, and social media personality.

However, no matter what role I’m in, I will always maintain and carryout the notion that you can “be vocally you.”
